Benefits of Osmotic Monitoring

Osmosis Explained:

Osmosis is diffusion of water through a semi-permeable membrane (a membrane that's semi-porous) from an area of low solute concentration (less stuff in the water) to an area of high solute concentration (more stuff in the water). The disequilibrium is the driving force casuing water to flow from an area of high chemical tension to an area of low chemical tension. The pump rate is controlled by a series of factors, but osmotic pumping is best used for long term continuous applications where power is limited or the number of sites would be costly to monitor. TLR manages the technology cafrefully for each application resulting in highly reliable, long term, cost effective fluid sampling and monitoring for science and industrail applications.
